“What the public understand as the ‘Renewable Energy industry’ offers the greatest opportunities for trades people in the next 10 years.
Systems such as Heat Pumps, Solar Thermal and Rainwater Harvesting are ideally suited for the UK Plumbers and Gas Engineers, because of their cost and technical relevance.
There is a massive customer demand, but only limited supply, because of a lack of skills in the trade to actually carry out the work. This means that labour rates are high and price competition is low.
I would advise anyone starting a new career or cross skilling from within the trade to build Renewable Energy into the centre of their plan"
